Directed by Sohrab Kavir, the 60-minute film will be in competition at the Documentary section of the first edition of the British event.
The film is a personal narrative following the life story of its director, Kavir. He returns to Iran from the UK, battling survivor’s guilt after the deaths of three of his brothers.
Once there, he embarks upon an epic quest to form a virtual football team made up of young sufferers of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the same disease that took his brothers.
The film has already been shown at the Iranian Film Festival in San Francisco, the US.
The KIFF, aiming to support independent cinema, is dedicated to give chance to both established and emerging independent filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work to the industry.
This year’s edition of the event, also set to screen Iran’s ‘Pass’ directed by Elika Abdollahi, will be held on June 24-26.
